Teresa received Christ in 1980, after being invited by her sister to the dedication of Upper Room's first building. She had been singing with a secular band for 10 years, and together with her band had just signed her first recording contract, being produced by a major artist, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, when she felt the call of God tugging on her heart. After a series of circumstances, she made a decision to dive head first into the kingdom of God at Upper Room, and has served in the ministry since that time. Teresa has been a director and singer in the music ministry since 1981, and was ordained by Bishop D'Onofrio as a Pastor in August of 2008.Her burden from the beginning has always been to lead God's people into His presence through praise and worship. She has taken that same burden to work as part of the Directorial Team for the Drama Ministry, producing and singing in our powerful productions. She is also part of the leadership of our Open Arms Women’s Ministry, which serves to bless and strengthen the women in our church and community, and is also on our Upper Room Promotion’s Team.
Pastor Teresa has a burning desire to build and promote the Kingdom of God both in the church and the community, and to see God’s people reach their full potential naturally and spiritually.
Teresa has been happily married to Pastor Peter since 1984, and together they have three children, Nathaniel, Valerie, and Joshua
