Pastor Lillian Zambelli
In 1975 Pastor Lillian Zambelli was a professing atheist devastated in body, soul, and spirit. Her life she thought was sewed up in a neat package but was spiraling out of control.
No one to help, no one to turn to, in her desperation she sat at the foot of her bed screaming “GOD IF YOU’RE REAL, I NEED HELP!” That was the beginning of her new life, a life assured that God was very much alive and he was there to rescue her. Thirty-eight years later she is still confident in God’s great love and keeping power. For ten years she served in Upper Room Brooklyn, teaching bible classes, singing in the Music Ministry, acting in the Drama Ministry and running women’s meetings. God then spoke to her to join herself to the Dix Hills church. It was here she was to serve along side of Bishop Anthony D’Onofrio and the pastoral staff. She taught in Children’s Church for many years and was a director of our Drama Ministry. She’s currently ministering at our Bereavement Ministry. Her greatest desire is her burden for the women of the house. Five years ago, she and other faithful women in the house were ordained as Pastors, and they are the directors of the UR Women’s Ministry. |
