Pastor Vincent Ferrante
As a teenager, Pastor Vincent Ferrante gave his heart to Christ and began attending Upper Room in Brooklyn, NY. At the age of only 18, he orchestrated the first building project for Upper Room in Long Island, NY with a 10-acre piece of property the church had purchased. As general contractor on the job, with no experience, Pastor Vinny was simply led by God’s spirit and Upper Room’s first sanctuary was built in an astonishing 90 days! People said it would be impossible but Pastor Ferrante and a team of dedicated men and women worked diligently day and night to see it done. That building became known as the 500-seat, 90-day wonder. Since that first miraculous building project, Pastor Vinny has overseen all six of the church’s building extensions; including it’s current sanctuary that seats 3,000.
In 1982, Pastor Vinny was ordained a Pastor and has served as overseer and Youth Pastor of Power House Youth Ministry, the head of the Sunday school ministry called ‘Nehemiah’s House’, the Nursery Department, the Ushers and Greeters Ministry, Upper Room’s Hospitality Department and the Video and Media ministries. Each ministry he has led and been a part of since it’s establishment has grown exponentially including a youth group which now has 300 young people in weekly attendance. Pastor Vinny lives with his wife Susan of over 30 years. They’re blessed with the fruit of their love with their son Frankie and his wife Faith, their son Vincent Jr. and his wife Rachel, and their son Anthony and his wife Michelle. In addition, Pastor Vinny and Sue’s joy are their grandchildren Frankie Jr., Luca, and Nico. Pastor Vinny’s love for people and pioneer spirit is shown through his desire to build the house of God, his family and the church at large. |
